The Therapeutic Effect of Intravenous Injection of Dedifferentiated Fat Cellsfor Needle Puncture-Induced Intravertebral Disc Degeneration in Rats

Intervertebral disc degeneration, a major cause of chronic low back pain, is caused by irreversible changes inthe nucleus pulposus cells that make up part the disc. In recent years, regenerative medicine for intervertebraldisc degeneration through administration mesenchymal stem (MSCs) and cytokines has been performed. Dedifferentiated fat (DFAT) are MSC-like multipotent can be prepared ceiling cultureof mature adipocytes. this study, we investigated effect intravenous injection DFAT in ratintervertebral model induced caudal needle puncture. Radiographic analysis revealed thatintravenous significantly suppressed narrowing intervertebral gap.Histological examination increased number microvessels surrounding cartilage endplate matrix. Since becollected minimally invasive procedure even elderly individuals, may an attractivecell source treating degeneration.
